Johnny Lewis, Alexandra Holden Join 'The Possession'
'The Blair Witch Project' director to helm new genre film
Johnny Lewis and Alexandra Holden are joining the cast of director Eduardo Sanchez's next film "The Possession," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
"The Possession" will mix the thriller and horror genres, centering on a young newlywed couple plagued by an evil presence.
Sanchez ("The Blair Witch Project") will direct the film, working from a script he co-wrote with Jamie Nash ("Altered").
Lewis, who will play the groom, has credits that include "AVPR: Aliens vs Predator - Requiem," FX's "Sons of Anarchy," Foxs "The O.C." and NBC's "American Dreams."
Holden, who will play the brides sister and maid of honor, has appeared in the films "Drop Dead Gorgeous," "Post Grad" and "Sugar & Spice." Her television credits include TBS"Franklin and Bash" and NBC's "Friends" and "Friday Night Lights."
As part of a multipicture deal, Amber Entertainment and Haxan Films are scheduled to shoot "The Possession" in October.
Andy Jenkins and Bob Eick will executive produce. Robin Cowie and Gregg Hale will produce for Haxan Films, along with Mark Ordesky and Jane Fleming for Amber Entertainment.
