Vinessa Antoine To Visit 'Haven'
Supernatural Syfy series adds to its cast as Season 2 filming begins
Vinessa Antoine has signed aboard Season 2 of Syfy's "Haven," according to Variety.
Taking on a recurring role, Antoine ("Being Erica") will play former con artist Evidence "Evi" Ryan, who is a past love interest of Haven's bad boy, Duke Crocker (Eric Balfour).
Based loosely on Stephen King's novella "The Colorado Kid," "Haven" follows FBI agent Audrey Parker's ("Jericho") investigations in a small Maine town where a substantial number of residents possess supernatural abilities. As her investigation progresses, she teams with local cop Nathan Wuornos (Lucas Bryant) and soon discovers shocking secrets about her own life.
Antoine joins Jason Priestly ("Tru Calling," "Beverly Hills, 90210"), who also recently signed board the series. Priestly will guest star in four episodes and direct one.
Production on the series resumes Friday in Nova Scotia, Canada. Syfy will premiere Season 2 this summer.
"Haven" is produced by Entertainment One in association with Shawn Piller, Lloyd Segan and showrunner Scott Shepherd ("Tru Calling," "The Dead Zone").
