Priestley, Edge Take On 'Haven'
Actor, WWE superstar join the Syfy series starting Aug. 5
Jason Priestley and WWE superstar Edge will guest star in four episodes of Syfy’s supernatural series "Haven" starting Aug. 5.
Playing marine biologist Chris Weekly, Priestley ("Tru Calling," "Beverly Hills, 90210") will also appear in the Aug. 12, Aug. 19 and Sept. 9 episodes. His character is afflicted with the power that makes everyone love him and do anything he wants. Only Audrey Parker (Emily Rose) remains immune to Weekly’s influence.
In addition, Priestley will direct the Sept. 9 episode.
Edge -- who will also star in the Sept. 9, Sept. 16 and Sept. 23 episodes -- will play Dwight Hendrickson, a former soldier felled by a supernatural affliction in Afghanistan. He uses his tactical skills to cover up the town's supernatural events, but is soon forced to confront the forces that nearly killed him on the battlefield.
Based loosely on Stephen King's novella "The Colorado Kid," "Haven" follows Audrey's investigations in a small Maine town where a substantial number of residents possess supernatural abilities. As her investigation progresses, she teams with local cop Nathan Wuornos (Lucas Bryant) and soon discovers shocking secrets about her own life.
"Haven," airing Fridays at 10 p.m. ET., is produced by Entertainment One in association with Shawn Piller, Lloyd Segan and showrunner Scott Shepherd ("Tru Calling," "The Dead Zone").
