'Being Human' Premiere Date Set
Syfy's hit drama returns for Season 2 Jan. 16
Syfy’s hit supernatural drama "Being Human" will return for Season 2 on Jan. 16.
Based on a U.K. series by the same name, the series stars Sam Witwer, Meaghan Rath and Sam Huntington as three 20-something roommates -- one a vampire, one a ghost and one a werewolf -- who help each other cope with their double lives.
Season 2 will feature 13 episodes and will follow Aidan's (Witwer) struggle against a figure from his past as Sally (Rath) faces the consequences of missing her door to the beyond and Josh (Huntington) searches for a cure for his condition while attempting to balance his relationship with Nora (Kristen Hager).
Guest stars for the new season include Dichen Lachman ("Dollhouse") as Suren and Kyle Schmid ("The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants").
Season 1 averaged 1.81 million viewers per episode, making it the channel’s most successful winter season scripted series launch since 2005. With 53 percent of its total audience comprised of women, the show became the channel’s most female-skewing scripted series ever.
Season 2 will air Mondays at 9 p.m. ET. and is expected to depart from the U.K. version, which was created by Toby Whithouse.
