'American Horror Story' Signs Chris Zylka
'The Secret Circle' actor joins the FX show's dramatic new arc for Season 2
"The Secret Circle" actor Chris Zylka will join Season 2 of FX's "American Horror Story," according to EW.com.
Set to play Daniel, a deaf-mute, Zylka described joining the cast as an honor and a challenge.
"Honestly, it was as big a thrill to book that show … I cannot believe I will get to be in the same room as Jessica Lange, let alone work with her," Zylka said. "I am a lucky, lucky guy."
Season 2 of the FX series is set at an East Coast insane asylum during the 1960s, with Lange and other returning cast members from Season 1 stepping into new roles.
Lange, who earned a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild award as Constance last season, was recently nominated during the 2012 Airlock Alpha Portal Awards for Best Supporting Actress/Television. You can now participate in the voting here.
Production on Season 2 kicks off in late July for a mid-October premiere.
In addition to Lange, Zachary Quinto, Adam Levine, Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe and Evan Peters are also returning for new roles.
