'666 Park Ave' Casts Spell On ABC
'Fringe' writer David Wilcox launches new supernatural pilot
ABC is moving forward on the supernatural drama "666 Park Ave" from "Fringe" writer David Wilcox, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Spearheaded by Warner Bros. TV and Alloy Entertainment, the pilot is based on Gabriella Pierce's book series and centers on a historic New York City apartment building whose new managers discover their tenants are witches.
Leslie Morgenstein ("Gossip Girl") and Gina Girolamo ("The Secret Circle") are executive producing the series along with Wilcox, who has held co-executive producer roles on Fox's "Fringe," ABC’s "Life On Mars" and NBC’s "Law & Order."
Wilcox is also scripting the pilot.
"666 Park Ave" is the second ABC pilot involving a New York residential building; the network is also moving forward on the drama "Gilded Lillys," which is set in a hotel in 1895.
Pierce's book was her first release and hit stores in February 2011 from William Morrow Paperbacks.
In August 2011, Pierce continued the "666 Park Ave" tale with "The Dark Glamour," a novel shedding more light on the covens, curses and darkness lurking behind the glitter of New York high society.
